Personalized support led with skill, patience, and heart
Florida Traveling Tutors is led by Dawn Drucker Youshak, a reading specialist and advocate who understands that every student learns differently.
Alongside her team, Dawn creates calm, structured tutoring plans for students who need targeted support in reading, comprehension, language, attention, confidence, and foundational learning skills.
Dawn Drucker Youshak
Reading specialist, dyslexia advocate, and founder of Florida Traveling Tutors. Dawn leads the work with patience, precision, and a deep respect for how each child learns best.
A reading specialist who understands struggling readers from the inside.
Dawn Youshak brings professional expertise and personal experience to every student she supports. As a proud dyslexic, she knows how it feels when reading, testing, and comprehension require a different path.
Dawn did not know she was dyslexic while growing up. Around age 20, a professor recognized the signs and helped her understand why learning had often felt harder than it should. That moment shaped the way she now teaches: with patience, precision, and deep respect for how each child learns best.
From struggling reader to passionate advocate.
Today, Dawn is an avid reader and a dedicated advocate for students with dyslexia and other learning differences. Her journey helps her connect deeply with students and families, offering not only effective instruction, but also understanding, encouragement, and hope.
Students do not need to be pushed harder. They need to be understood more precisely.
The work begins with a simple belief: when a child struggles, the instruction has to become more intentional. Dawn’s approach is personal, research-informed, and built for students who may need a different path to reach the same confidence.
